About
Hi, I'm Massimiliano Peluso. I'm a solution architect based in London, originally from Rome, and I built BtcForecaster as a side project.
The day job
I design systems for the finance and insurance industry: cloud and digital platforms that have to be secure, compliant and dependable at scale. I've worked a lot with Azure and microservices, and on intelligent underwriting, which uses data and automation to make insurance decisions faster and more consistent.
Regulated industries teach you discipline. Every design choice has to be justified, auditable and built to last. That's exactly why I like having a lab on the side.
Why I experiment with AI
In my spare time I build small projects to find out what AI and machine learning can really do, beyond the slide decks. Building something real, and measuring it honestly, is the quickest way I know to separate what works from the hype. It also shows where human judgment still matters most.
BtcForecaster is one of those experiments. Several models were tried, and none of them could beat "assume the price stays where it is" at predicting direction. So the site doesn't pretend to. It forecasts how far Bitcoin is likely to move and publishes a track record, so anyone can check whether the ranges really hold up. An honest "we can't predict that" is worth more than a confident wrong answer, and that lesson works just as well in my day job.
Get in touch
I write now and then about architecture, governance and emergent design. If you'd like to swap ideas about AI, cloud, or building systems in regulated industries, find me on LinkedIn. Parlo italiano e inglese, so feel free to write in either.
BtcForecaster is a personal project, separate from my employer.
