BtcForecaster in one paragraph

BtcForecaster is a website that shows how far the price of Bitcoin is likely to move in the next hour, the next 4 hours and the next 24 hours. It does not try to guess whether the price will go up or down. Instead it gives a range, for example: "there is a 90% chance Bitcoin will be between $78,000 and $82,000 this time tomorrow". It then checks in public how often it was right, so anyone can see whether it can be trusted. It was built by Massimiliano Peluso as a side project, after he found that none of his prediction models could beat the simplest guess of all: that the price stays the same.

Feel free to copy this paragraph word for word.

The quick facts

What it does
Shows where the Bitcoin price will probably be in 1 hour, 4 hours and 24 hours, as a range.
What it doesn't do
Say whether the price will go up or down, or tell anyone to buy or sell.
How often it updates
A new forecast every 5 minutes, day and night.
Where the prices come from
Binance, one of the largest Bitcoin exchanges, through its free public price feed (CoinGecko as a backup).
Who made it
Massimiliano Peluso, as an independent side project, published by Pelusoft Limited.
Launched
October 2026
How it's checked
Every forecast is scored in public on the track record page, misses included.

What makes it different

It admits what it can't know

Nobody can reliably say if Bitcoin will rise or fall in the next hour. BtcForecaster doesn't pretend to. It only says how big the move is likely to be.

It marks its own homework

If it says "90% chance", the price should land inside that range about 9 times out of 10. The site shows how often that really happened.

It explains itself

Every number on the site has a small ⓘ you can tap for a plain-English explanation. No finance degree needed.

A quote you can use

"I tried to predict where Bitcoin goes next, and the simplest guess, that the price stays the same, beat every model I built. So I made something more honest: it tells you how far the price is likely to move, and then shows you how often it got that right."

Massimiliano Peluso, creator of BtcForecaster
